Actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal announced pregnancy last month, declaring that they're all set to become parents for the first time`. Neither opened up on how they're feeling, beyond the joint Instagram post they broke the news with. Now, Vicky has finally talked about what he's feeling about becoming a father for the first time. “I am really looking forward to it. I think it is a huge blessing. Exciting times, almost there, so fingers crossed,” said Vicky at the Yuvaa Conclave, adding, "Mujhe lag raha hai ke main ghar se hi nahi nikalne wala hun (I don’t think I'd even step out of the house)." When asked specifically what he's looking forward to about becoming a dad, an overwhelmed Vicky responded, "Just being a dad." Vicky won't be the first hands-on dad we know in Bollywood, as even Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor are known to be very involved fathers. Last year, after his wife Deepika Padukone gave birth to their daughter Dua Padukone, Ranveer represented both at the trailer launch of their cop drama, Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. He added that while Deepika is looking after Dua at home, so couldn't make it to the trailer launch, his dad duty would begin at night once the mother sleeps. Alia Bhatt has also spoken about how her husband Ranbir Kapoor talks and plays with their daughter Raha Kapoor for hours, enjoying a bond with her that even she doesn't. She also claimed that she's seen tremendous change in Ranbir as a father ever since the birth of Raha in 2022. Katrina, 40, and Vicky, 37, shared the announcement on their Instagram handles in September. Both shared a polaroid where the two are looking joyfully at Katrina's baby bump. "On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude," they wrote in the caption to the post. Recently, Vicky's younger brother and actor Sunny Kaushal also opened up on the good news at home. "Khushkhabhri hai aur sabko badi khushi hai (It’s happy news and everyone is delighted). Nervous bhi hain sab ki aage jaake kya hoga (We’re also nervous about what lies ahead), so we are just waiting for that day to come," Sunny told Instant Bollywood. "I'll make sure I'm a fun uncle. I want to spoil the child. that's the kind of chachu I want to be," he told ETimes. Vicky most recently appeared in the period drama Chhaava, and is set to feature in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Katrina was last seen in Sriram Raghavan's black comedy thriller Merry Christmas opposite Vijay Sethupathi last year.
