Many know Tejasswi Prakash for her roles in TV shows and as the winner of Bigg Boss 15, but there is much more to her than what meets the eye. In a recent interaction with Bharti Singh on her YouTube channel Bharti TV, Tejasswi opened up about how, over time, she has invested in multiple businesses and now earns steady income from them. She also said that she started her investment journey quite early in life.
When asked about her reason for participating in Bigg Boss, Tejasswi shared, “Because Covid was going on at that time. I really like working so much that even now I act but I also have a real estate business and I have also opened a salon. Whenever I get some free time, I have to utilise it.”
She added, “If I can invest in a business today, then you would be very stupid to think that I can’t buy these expensive watches. It’s very obvious that it’s my decision to not take that and rather invest in a real estate business and make different properties.”
Talking about why she prefers driving her i20 instead of her Audi, which is worth Rs 1 crore, she explained, “I like my bigger car, but I often travel in my i20 because it is so convenient. The bigger car needs space to park, but this is not the case with i20. There is also this worry of somebody scratching the car and it involves extra expenses, so I prefer taking out i20 because it is so fast and you can park it anywhere, and it is a beautiful car. I think very practically. My iPhone is also three years old and it’s not that I will buy a new iPhone every year. I don’t care.”
She also compared her investment profile with that of boyfriend Karan Kundra, saying he comes from money and spend without thinking. She, on the other hand, says comes from not that privileged background and still second guesses when she buys expensive stuff and even her parents encourage her to do so. “Even now, when I buy a bag and its leather starts going, I don’t like it,” she said. She and Bharti Singh also discussed expensive bags and how the latter took a U-turn after refusing to buy an expensive bag, she now owns a range of them. “Now we don’t have a space in our house for bags,” said her husband as Bharti complained that she still doesn’t have a Chanel and a Birkin.
