Taz Singh stars with BTS’ Kim Namjoon in LOST: ‘It was a fan moment, RM was extremely nice’

Taz Singh, who was born in the UK to Indian parents, was an academic genius, but it was acting that caught his heart. Having worked in Bell Bottom, he is set to show more of his talent in Bollywood films Ulajh and Tehran.

Tarsvinder Singh Sihra aka Taz Singh is among the rising stars and is currently making headlines for his appearance in the music video of BTS’ RM aka Kim Namjoon, “LOST!” The song is part of “RM’s Right Place, Wrong Person” Album. Recalling how he landed this part in the Domodachi rapper’s MV, the actor revealed how it was a confidential project and he had no information about who he was auditioning for a very long time.

“I gave an audition last year, but they kept it very confidential. I don’t think anybody had an idea about who we would be working with at that point. I just went for the audition and then I received a callback for the second audition and when that happened, they liked it. After they confirmed me for the part, I was told I will be working with RM. I was very excited.”

“I met RM on sets and he was extremely nice. I listen to BTS and RM, so it was a little fan moment for me. San Yawn, the creative director of the music video and Aube Perrie, the director, they helped me to get the creative inspiration to deliver the scenes for the music video. I want to thank them all,” said Taz recalling his meeting with RM and his experience working with the team for the music video.

Taz, who was born in the UK, has his roots in India. Being born to Indian parents with Punjabi background and culture, Taz once played Indian instruments such as tabla and dhol. Additionally, the actor was also a pianist and guitarist, and played these instruments during his free time. “I was five when I learnt tabla,” he said.

While Taz Singh is in the news for his latest music video, the actor has previously been part of Akshay Kumar’s 2021 film Bell Bottom. “About four years ago, I remember the team was in the UK, shooting for the film and I got a brief role with Akshay Kumar. Meeting him in person, I also had a slight fan moment.”

Taz, who has garnered immense love from BTS Army in India, is all set to show more of his talent in Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Ulajh and John Abraham’s Tehran. “I can’t reveal much about it. I don’t know how they will edit the film, so we need to wait and watch,” said the actor.

Taz is also in talks for a Tamil project which is in its early stage. Talking about working in South, Taz revealed how he is a big fan of RRR. “I loved a lot of things about RRR. I see people in Japan are crazy about it. It’s still running in their theaters.”

He also had an unpopular opinion and said he loved Ek Villain Returns. “I am a big fan of Ek Villain Returns in Bollywood. I really loved the story, I checked on the internet and I know a lot of people didn’t like it, but I found it to be just fine.”

Taz confessed that he really wants to be part of Bollywood projects and other Indian content. “It can be a music video, I would really like to be in it.”
