The teaser of Huma Qureshi's upcoming film Tarla is out, and it promises a feel-good story of Tarla Dalal, the celebrity chef and food writer, who has written over hundred cook books that still remain favourites of many households in the country. Dalal also hosted popular cooking shows such as Tarla Dalal Show and Cook it Up with Tarla Dalal. Directed by Piyush Gupta, the film has Huma playing the titular role. The teaser promises that the movie will be a moving tale about an ambitious but novice chef, who would go on to become a culinary expert and television celebrity. Talking about Tarla, Huma Qureshi had earlier said, "Tarla Dalal reminds me of my childhood. My mom had a copy of her book in the kitchen and would often try many of her recipes for my school tiffin. I also clearly remember the time when I helped mom make Tarla’s homemade mango ice cream. This role has taken me back to those sweet childhood memories."
