Taapsee Pannu opens up about secret wedding with Mathias Boe for the first time, reveals why they kept it quiet
Taapsee Pannu, who recently tied the knot with long-time partner, Mathias Boe, revealed why they chose not to share wedding photographs on social media.

Actor Taapsee Panu and her athlete husband Mathias Boe, who have been together for 13 years, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony recently. The wedding ceremony was attended only by close friends and family, and was held on March 23 in Udaipur. A week after the two got married, several videos from the festivities started surfacing on social media, giving a glimpse into their private wedding celebrations. In recent Holi pictures, shared by Taapsee’s friend and actor Abhilash Thapliyal, eagle-eyed fans spotted her wearing indoor.
Taapsee and Mathias have remained mum about their recent wedding and have not shared any photos or videos on social media either. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the Pink actor opened up about her choice to keep the wedding private. She said, “I’m not sure if I want to open my personal life to the kind of scrutiny that happens. I’ve signed up for this, not my partner or the people who were at the wedding. That’s why I’ve kept it to myself.”

Taapse added that sharing her personal life with the public or on social media would invite unwarranted scrutiny and judgements. “The intention was never to keep it a secret; I just didn’t want to make it a public affair, because then I’ll start getting worried about how it is perceived. That’s why I have no plans for a release of any kind, and don’t think I’m mentally prepared for that right now,” said the 36-year-old, adding, “I knew people who were there, they wanted to be there for me and were not present to judge, that’s why I was pretty relaxed.” Taapsee revealed that the wedding was planned by sister Shagun Pannu. Together, they own a wedding planning business.

The wedding ceremony was a blend of Sikh and Christian rituals, reflecting the couple’s diverse backgrounds. Among the attendees were Taapsee’s Dobaaraa and Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati, writer Kanika Dhillon as well as close friend and director Anurag Kashyap.
Leaked footage from her wedding showed Taapse in a red bridal suit, walking down the aisle alongside her siste and friends and dancing to “Kothe Te Aa Mahiya.” The couple was then seen exchanging garlands as her loved ones cheered them on. In another video that had surfaced online, the Dunki actor was seen happily dancing with Mathias, former Danish badminton player, to Bruno Mars’s “Just The Way You Are.”
