Actor Swara Bhasker, who recently tied the knot with Fahad Ahmad, hosted a reception for their friends and family in Delhi on March 16. Swara and Fahad, who registered their marriage a few weeks ago, commenced their pre-wedding festivities this week. The couple dropped beautiful pictures from the haldi, mehandi and sangeet ceremonies.

On Thursday, the couple arrived hand-in-hand for their reception. Swara dazzled in a pink lehenga and Fahad was sporting a cream colored sherwani. Swara completed her look with heavy accessories and maang tika. She was also seen flaunting her mangalsutra.

In the videos doing rounds on the internet, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal can be seen attending the reception and congratulating the couple. Veteran actor Jaya Bachchan was also clicked at the reception as she struck a pose with the newlyweds.

Earlier, Swara dropped beautiful pictures from the qawwali and sangeet night. The couple looked royal in their traditional outfits and fans loved their chemistry as they dropped red heart emoticons in the comment section.

A few weeks ago, Swara and Fahad took to social media and shared a unique video montage which showed the timeline of their relationship. Sharing the video, they wrote, “Sometimes you search far & wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad It’s chaotic but it’s yours!”
