Sunny Leone says people can’t claim that she’s in Kennedy because of her ‘past’: ‘All those who said Sunny Leone, the porn star…’
Sunny Leone said that no one can call her the 'glamour quotient' of Kennedy or claim that she is in this film because of her past.

Sunny Leone, who is in Cannes for the premiere of her film Kennedy, directed by Anurag Kashyap, recently said that this is “one of the most amazing moments in my career to date.” Sunny said that with Kennedy, no one can claim that she is in the film for the “glamour quotient” or “what her past was.”
In a chat with Forbes India, Sunny said, “I believe that your actions are louder than your words,” and added, “All those people who said you can’t do this, or you’re not good enough, or you know you are just Sunny Leone, the porn star, you are just this glamour quotient that we’ve added, all of these different comments that have gone on for so many years. You can’t say that this time. You can’t just say Sunny Leone is in this film because of who she is and what her past was.”
Sunny Leone’s character Charlie in Kennedy has a very peculiar laughter. When asked whether she had ever used laughter as a shield, the actor said that people sometimes don’t realise when they are being hurtful and that’s when pretentious laughter comes in handy. She also spoke about the things that hurt her feelings but as an entertainer, she is not allowed to show those emotions.
“People out there don’t always know how their comments or what they say or people who write these articles that are just nasty or people who don’t believe in you, they think the worst of you. You hide behind your smile going, ‘no, it’s okay, I’m going to push past this’ but deep down inside it does hurt your feelings and it does affect you but as an entertainer, you are not allowed to show that,” she shared.
Kennedy also stars Rahul Bhat in the lead role.
