Stree 2 box office collection day 13: Actors Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s horror comedy is finally slowing down at the box office after a historic run, boosted by multiple holidays and two weekends. On Tuesday, Stree 2 minted an estimated Rs 11.5 cr, which marks a drop of almost 38 percent from its Monday collections, reported industry tracker Sacnilk.

According to the makers, the film had earned Rs 20 cr on Monday, which was a partial holiday due to Janmashtami. With Tuesday being a working day, Stree 2 saw an expected dip, but still maintained collections in the double digits. The total so far of the film is an estimated Rs 435 cr as per the official collections.

With its Tuesday hold, Stree 2 has also crossed the Rs 600 cr mark globally, making it the second-best performer of the year after Prabhas-led Kalki 2898 AD, which had grossed Rs 1,000 cr globally. But unlike Kalki 2898 AD, Stree 2 was released only in Hindi.

Even in terms of footfalls, Stree 2 is actually at the top of the list. Sacnilk noted that the horror comedy has emerged as the second Indian movie of the year to sell over 2 crore tickets at the box office, after Kalki 2898 AD. While the all-language sales of the Nag Ashwin directorial was 3.63 cr, its Hindi version had sold 1.56 crore tickets.

The film now has an open run till September, with the next big film being the Alia Bhatt-fronted Jigraa, which will cinemas on October 2.
