SS Rajamouli names Ranbir Kapoor as his favourite actor; Ranbir chooses Sandeep Reddy Vanga over RRR director

Rajamouli expressed, “People have always asked me about my favourite actor in Bollywood. Without hesitation, I can say it is Ranbir Kapoor! He is an incredibly intense actor. Though I haven’t seen all of his films, I have observed the intensity and vulnerability in Ranbir’s performances. In his 17-year career, he has chosen only a select few projects, each exploring his potential as an actor, with Animal standing out among them. I sincerely hope that Ranbir continues to lead the industry.”

Meanwhile, Rajamouli and Ranbir also had a candid moment during the event, engaging in a playful on-stage conversation. In this exchange, the RRR director asked the Animal actor whom he would prefer to collaborate with next if given the choice between him and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Despite Ranbir attempting to sidestep the question with humour, suggesting the idea of double shifts, Rajamouli insisted on a clear answer. “I am going to be a loyal actor, and I will have to choose Sandeep Reddy Vanga right now, sir,” Ranbir said, a response Rajamouli appreciated by saying, “fantastic”.

Speaking at a press conference before the event, Ranbir shared that he gave his first autograph in Hyderabad. “I love coming to Hyderabad; the first autograph I ever gave was here while promoting Saawariya. I want to be the adopted son of the Telugu states,” he said.

Slated for release on December 1, the film has already outpaced Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif-starrer Tiger 3 by selling over 1,30,000 tickets. While PVR-INOX reported sales of 1,04,000 tickets for Animal, Cinepolis has sold over 24,000 tickets so far. The movie is expected to receive a massive opening of Rs 50 crore at the box office.
