Srikanth trailer: Starring Rajkummar Rao and Jyothika, Srikanth is the inspirational story of a man who fought against all odds for his education.

Rajkummar Rao is all set to bring the inspiring story of industrialist Srikanth Bolla to the screen as the actor is playing the lead role in his biopic named Srikanth. On Tuesday, the trailer of the film was released online. The film looks like an inspiring tale of a visually challenged man who fought against all odds for his education, and then later made it his mission in life to help other visually challenged people by giving them education and employment opportunities.
The trailer opens with Rao’s Srikanth as he tells former President APJ Abdul Kalam that he wants to become “India’s first visually challenged President”. Jyotika plays his teacher in the film who helps him in suing the education system that does not allow him to study science in higher classes as there isn’t enough infrastructure for the same. He eventually gets accepted as a scholarship student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which is one of the most renowned educational institutes in the world.
The trailer also introduces the characters of Sharad Kelkar, who appears to be an investor in his business, and Alaya F, who is probably playing his love interest in the film.

Tushar Hiranandani, who previously directed the 2019 film Saand Ki Aankh, starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, has directed the movie.
In an earlier statement, Rajkummar Rao spoke about playing the role of Srikanth and said, “Srikanth Bolla is an inspiration. It’s indeed a privilege to play such an inspiring persona who has been through a lot of hardships and despite that has risen like a phoenix.”
The film was earlier scheduled to release in September 2023 but the director previously told indianexpress.com that they did not want to clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. “I can’t compete with Shah Rukh Khan,” he said and added that they were planning to release the film in December 2023.
However, the film is now releasing on May 10.
