Sridevi sends legal notice to Ram Gopal Varma for renaming ‘Savitri’

Sridevi has slapped Ram Gopal Varma with a legal notice about the sudden change in name of 'Savitri' to 'Sridevi'.

Recently there were reports that RGV has changed the title of this movie to ‘Sridevi’.

There was a time when Ram Gopal Varma used to make movies like ‘Rangeela’; now he’s upto creations like ‘ RGV Ki Aag’. The next addition to this list is a story inspired from his life, as he himself quips, ‘Savitri’. Produced by Cosmic pictures and directed by Kiran Prasad, it’s a story about a 15 year old boy’s infatuation towards a 25 year old woman.

Recently there were reports that RGV has changed the title of this movie to ‘Sridevi’ and this sudden change has irked the original Sridevi and her husband Boney Kapoor. The Bollywood diva has now gone ahead to slap RGV with a legal notice about the same.

It’s also reported that after finding out that RGV has changed the name of his movie from ‘Savithri’ to ‘Sridevi’, Boney Kapoor tried to contact him. The director instead, replied with a WhatsApp text. The text message had a press release.

The title can make the audiences believe that the movie might be an account from Sridevi’s life. Hence, Boney Kapoor has taken the issue on hand and decided to not let RGV to escape this so easily.

The first posters of ‘Savitri’ which were out some time back showed a young boy looking at his teacher lustily.

The actress, playing the titular role is a debutante – Anukriti Sharma.
