Sky Force box office collection day 8: Akshay Kumar-Veer Pahariya film soars towards Rs 100 cr despite taking a hit from Deva, earns Rs 89 cr
Sky Force box office collection day 8: On day 8 of its release, the Akshay Kumar-Veer Pahariya film grossed an impressive Rs 2.75 crore, taking the total tally to Rs 89.25 crore.

Sky Force box office collection day 8: In what has become one of the first major successes in Akshay Kumar’s recent filmography, Sky Force is having a tremendous run at the box-office even a week after its release. The film is just a few crores short of reaching the magical Rs 100 crore figure at the domestic box office. On its eighth day in the theatres, the film made Rs 2.75 crore, taking the net domestic total to Rs 89.25 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.
Backed by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Sky Force had a 14.49 percent occupancy. The film also witnessed some competition from Shahid Kapoor-starrer Deva, which made only Rs 5 crore, on its opening day. Incidentally, it is the only Hindi film in the top 5 list of highest-grossing Indian films of 2025, which is topped by Venkatesh-Anil Ravipudi’s Sankrantiki Vasthunnam (Rs 166.95 crore), followed by Ram Charan-Shankar’s Game Changer (Rs 154.85 crore). Sky Force is at the third place, and the list is rounded off by Nandamuri Balakrishna-Bobby Kolli’s Daaku Maharaaj (Rs 89.02 crore), and Sundar C-Vishal’s Madha Gaja Raja (Rs 46.5 crore).
With Deva not making the expected impact at the box office on Day 1, and with mixed responses coming its way from critics, it would be interesting to see if the film can continue to dominate the Hindi box office. This is also happy days for Akshay Kumar as Sky Force becomes the much-needed fillip to his career. In comparison to the opening week numbers made by his recent films — Sarfira (Rs 18.75 crore), Khel Khel Mein (Rs 19.35 crore), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (Rs 49.9 crore), Mission Raniganj (Rs 18.25 crore), Selfiee (Rs 14.68 crore) — Sky Force made Rs 86.5 crore.
Nevertheless, things are looking good for Sky Force as there are no biggies in sight except for dubbed versions of Tamil and Telugu films like Vidaamuyarchi and Thandel, and Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravikumar. With the next big set of releases happening only on the Valentine’s Day week with films like Loveyapa and Chhava hitting the screens, Sky Force might just have a obstacle-free run in the skies.
Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, the film also stars Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, and Nimrat Kaur as the leads.
