Singham Again box office collection day 4: Filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s latest Diwali outing Singham Again faced the crucial Monday test and held itself steady despite an expected drop in collections. As compared to Sunday, the Monday figures dropped by 51 percent for the Ajay Devgn starrer, but the dip was expected as the film was coming off a huge holiday weekend, which had also surged its collections.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Singham Again netted Rs 17.50 cr on Monday, which is half than its Sunday haul of Rs 35.75 cr. For it to pass the Monday test, the film had to keep its fall within 70 percent and the action drama managed to do that. The numbers have also come in during a clash with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is also doing wonders at the box office.

In terms of global gross, Singham Again had a weekend of Rs 186 cr, which now will be comfortably past the Rs 200 cr mark worldwide.  Singham Again’s India-nett total so far is Rs 139 cr. The film, which also features Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor, now needs to avoid drastic fall in collections and if it trends at a stable pace, Singham Again will look at week one around Rs 175 cr mark.

If it remains steady on Tuesday, the film could also cross Rs 150 cr mark in India. As of now, Singham Again is just Rs 10 cr shy of breaking the record of Ajay Devgn’s 2024 hit Shaitaan. The film had minted Rs 149 cr and Singham Again should comfortably cross the figure.

Up next, it would then hope to chase down the record set by Drishyam 2, which had ended its theatrical run at Rs 240 cr. It remains to be seen if it can beat the collections of Tanhaji, which remains Ajay Devgn’s highest earner at Rs 279 cr.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 spring up a surprise

Before the clash, trade had dubbed Singham Again as the obviously “bigger” film due to the star cast and genre, but the four-day collections of Kartik Aaryan headlined Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has shown excellent results. The horror comedy had a Monday of Rs 17.50 cr, which means a fall of 47 percent from its Sunday collections.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 had held quite well at the box office, with India nett being around Rs 123 cr and global gross around Rs 185 cr, according to Sacnilk.

Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will now benefit from the clear run ahead as no new Hindi film is set to release in November. The next big release will also be a clash on December 6– with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 and Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.
