Sikandar Movie Review, Box Office Collection Day 1 Live Updates: Salman Khan’s 2025 Eid release earns Rs 11 cr till 4 pm, makers share worldwide opening day BO figures

On the occasion of Eid, Sikandar star Salman Khan greeted fans gathered outside his residence. 

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Sikandar has earned Rs 43.66 crore in India so far.

According to Sacnilk, so far Sikandar has made a collection of around Rs 11.78 Cr India net on its second day for all languages.

Salman Khan Films shared on X the box office collection of the film. As per the makers, the Salman Khan film had a 'power-packed opening' with a global collection of Rs 54.72 cr on its Day 1. While the film made Rs 35.47 at the Indian box office, it collected Rs 19.25 cr at the Worldwide gross. The makers wrote, "Sikandar’s journey is just getting started! Thank you for all the love! Celebrate Eid with us in a theatre near you! Book your tickets NOW!"

Taran Adarsh also shared, "However, despite releasing on a Sunday, similar to #Tiger3 [#Diwali 2023], #Sikandar does not feature in #SalmanKhan's #Top5 opening days list [check list below]. #Sikandar has performed relatively better in the mass belt and is expected to see a jump today [Monday] due to #Eid festivities... Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared that Salman Khan starrer made about Rs 30 cr on Day 1 and wrote, "#Sikandar performs well on its opening day but falls short when compared to #SalmanKhan's previous opening days. Given post-pandemic trends for highly anticipated films, an opening day of ? 40 cr+ was expected from #SalmanKhan this time... Collecting this number was even more crucial, considering #Sikandar had the biggest release ever for a #Hindi film in #India – 5500 screens / approx 22,000+ shows per day."

Salman Khan has been synonymous with Eid releases. Even as Sikandar receives largely negative reviews, it is to be seen how the film performs on Eid, which is a holiday in many parts of India. According to Sacnilk, Sikandar earned around Rs 1.96 Cr India net on its second day for all languages on Eid and registered around 8 percent occupancy. However, the film is likely to receive much better traction as the day progresses.

On the day of Sikandar's release, Rashmika Mandanna and rumoured beau and actor Vijay Deverakonda were spotted on a lunch date in Mumbai. Like always, the couple avoided getting clicked together.

One of Rashmika Mandanna's fan page shared, "We have always wanted #RashmikaMandanna to work with #SalmanKhan, but in a movie with a good story. #Sikandar's story could have been very good, but the scriptwriter neither wrote a decent script nor were the supporting actors chosen correctly. It felt like the actors were reading the script while delivering their dialogues, and that too without any expression. The wrong timing of the songs was making the movie even more illogical. The movie's plot and scenes were not connected to each other at all. Actors like Salman and Rashmika don't deserve such a movie. We especially want to tell Salman Khan that your fans support you a lot. From now on, please choose scripts very thoughtfully. And our suggestions is - stop doing Bigg Boss. Focus on your movies only. "

According to Sacnilk, Sikandar earned around Rs 26 crore India nett on its first day in all languages, as per early estimates. The film had an overall 21.60% Hindi occupancy on Sunday, March 30.

Indian Express's Shubhra Gupta gave the film 1.5 stars and wrote, "In ‘Sikandar’, both the director and the star flounder spectacularly, failing to give us anything we haven’t seen before. The opening sequence starts with faint promise, with Bhai coming on and schooling an entitled minister ka beta (Prateik Babbar) in the first class cabin of an airplane. After that it’s all downhill."

According to Sacnilk, Sikandar has minted Rs 21.96 crore in India on its first day. This data includes advance booking till 9 pm. The film saw a 25 occupany in evening shows and 24 percent occupany in afternoon shows.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has shared his review of Salman Khan's film Sikandar. He gave the film 2 stars and wrote, "A letdown... Screenplay, music, direction, even performances are lacklustre... Sky-high expectations from #SalmanKhan - #ARMurugadoss, but all that glitters is not gold! #SikandarReview."

He added, "#Sikandar is among #SalmanKhan's weakest films... The superstar – with a massive fan following – deserved a better film with strong content, one that truly does justice to his stardom."

Trade analyst Komal Nahta reacted to Sikandar being leaked online on the day of its release. He said, "This morning, I spoke to seven or eight people in the trade, and they confirmed that the film had been leaked. I was also told that Sajid Nadiadwala and the authorized team worked hard to remove the film from many piracy websites. But by then, the damage was already done. It spreads very fast," the analyst saidHe added, "Kya hota hai na kabhi kabhi ek hafte baad, do hafte baad film pirated hoti hai aur piracy wali copy aapke paas aa jaati hai. Ye toh release se pehle aur release ke din toh definitely...(Mostly films get leaked after a week of its release but this film got leaked on the release day) Free mein agar aapke phone mein Salman Khan ki film jo release ho rahi hai, usi din aapke mobile mein free mein aa gayi hai, toh kyun aap cinema hall jaayenge? (If you get access to a Salman Khan film on your phone for free, than why will you go to a theatre?)" 

Salman Khan's fans gathered outside a theatre to celebrated Sikandar's release, cutting a cake and flaunting the 817 tickets bought of the film.

Salman Khan's much-awaited film, Sikandar, released in theatres on Sunday. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film has minted Rs 17.39 crore in India. The data includes advance booking till 7 pm. Salman's previous film, Tiger 3, had raked in Rs 44.5 cr on  its opening day. 

Before Sikandar's grand release on Sunday, Salman Khan had confidently declared that his film will mint Rs 200 crore. During the film's trailer launch, he had said, He said, “Eid, Diwali, New Year, festive, non-festive, it’s the love of the people and picture acchi ho ya buri ho, wo sau (Rs 100 crore) toh paar kara hi dete hain (Whether film is good or bad, it will atleast mint Rs 100 crore)." Salman corrected himself and said Rs 200 crore, “Rs 100 crore bohot pehle ki baat hain (Rs 100 crore is a thing of the past).”

In an earlier interview, Salman Khan extended his best wishes to Sunny Deol for his upcoming film Jaat, set to release on April 10. On Sikandar's release day, Sunny shared the film's poster and wrote, "My dear @beingsalmankhan, all the very best for #Sikandar's release. Chak De Fatte!"
