Sidhu Moosewala was sending ‘good morning’ messages to Lawrence Bishnoi to ‘flatter’ him, claims Bishnoi gang member Goldy Brar

Sidhu Moosewala was murdered in broad daylight in 2022 and Lawrence Bishnoi, along with his gang, took the responsibility of the killing of the singer. In a newly released documentary by BBC, The Killing Call, it is suggested by Goldy Brar, Bishnoi’s associate, that Sidhu shared a friendly relationship with Lawrence since 2018. Goldy shared that Sidhu would send ‘good morning’ and ‘good night’ messages to Lawrence every day in an effort to “flatter him.”

‘Sidhu said Lawrence Bishnoi called him’

Goldy Brar, via an audio recording, said in the documentary, “Lawrence was in touch with Sidhu. I don’t know who introduced them, and I never asked, but they did speak. Sidhu used to send ‘good morning’ and ‘good night’ messages in an effort to flatter Lawrence.” A friend, who refused to be identified, said, “Sidhu said Lawrence Bishnoi called me. Lawrence called him from jail. He said Lawrence really liked his music and said Sidhu was doing really well.” The communication between the two started in 2017-2018, and continued until after Sidhu moved back to India.

‘Sidhu’s friendship with Lawrence’s rival gang’

Sidhu was allegedly friends with Bishnoi but also started becoming friends with Bishnoi’s rivals, Bambiha gang. It was because of a kabaddi match organised by Bambiha gang that the tension between Sidhu and Bishnoi gang escalated. In another part of the documentary, Goldy said Sidhu was killed because of his alleged involvement in Vicky Middukhera’s murder, who was a mentor to both Lawrence and Bishoi. His death was executed by Bambiha gang but since Sidhu had been friends with them in the past, he became a suspect in Lawrence’s eyes.

‘We had no option but to kill Sidhu Moosewala’

Goldy said, “Everyone knew Sidhu’s role (in Vicky’s death), the police knew, even the journalists knew. He was using his political power, his money, his resources to help our rivals, those who killed our brother. We wanted him to face punishment for what he’d done. He should have been booked. He should have been jailed but no one heard our plea. So we took it upon ourselves. When decency falls on deaf ears, it’s the gunshot that gets heard.” He added, “We had no option but to kill him. He had to face the consequences of his actions. It was either him or us. As simple as that.”
