Shilpa Shetty Kundra had her josh high on August 15 as she joined the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' trend to celebrate the Independence Day with her family by hoisting the Indian flag at her Juhu home in Mumbai. However, the actor soon got trolled on social media for wearing her shoes while flag hoisting. Shilpa, later took to social media to react to the trolls. Shilpa, in the morning of August 15, had shared an Instagram post, where she shared a video of the flag hoisting ceremony that she carried out in the front yard of her home, along with her son Viaan, mother Sunanda and her staff. They were also seen saluting the flag after it was hoisted. Shilpa captioned her post: "वन्दे मातरम् 🫡🇮🇳🥹". One person took to Shilpa's post's comments section and wrote, "If you wave the flag of the country, then you are requested to remove the shoes and touch the rope of the flag. Jai Hind Jai Bharat. Happy Independence Day.🇮🇳," some fans also supported her and said that there's nothing wrong in wearing shoes while hoisting the flag. Later on Shilpa took to her Instagram story and shared a screenshot of her Google search which read, "Can we hoist Indian flag with shoes?" The answer to which was, "The Flag Code of India does not restrict hoisting of the national flag with shoes on." Shilpa shared the screenshot and wrote “#Facts 🇮🇳” on it. Shilpa also commented on the post to respond. She wrote, "I am aware of the “Rules” of conduct while hoisting the flag ,the RESPECT for my country and THE FLAG stems from my heart and not up for questioning . I am a proud Indian . Today’s post was to share and celebrate that emotion. To all the trollers( that I ignore usually )DO NOT appreciate YOU airing your ignorance and spreading negativity on this Day .
