Karva Chauth, primarily celebrated in North India, is a significant marriage celebration where wives observe a day-long fast to seek blessings for their husbands’ long and healthy lives. It falls in the Hindu month of Kartik during Krishna Paksha Chaturthi, coinciding with Sankashti Chaturthi, a day of fasting dedicated to Lord Ganesha. This year, Karva Chauth will be observed by women on November 1.
