Shehnaaz Gill goes live from hospital as she’s treated for stomach infection, Anil Kapoor calls her ‘next Mumtaz’

Shehnaaz Gill went live on Instagram to inform fans that she's in the hospital since a few days after a stomach infection. While Rhea Kapoor visited her, Anil Kapoor also joined her on the live.

While her team is celebrating the success of Thank You for Coming, Shehnaaz Gill is in the hospital recovering from a bout of stomach infection. The actor went live on social media as her producer Rhea Kapoor visited her. She gave her health update to fans as well as interacted with them, urging them to watch their film. Anil Kapoor also joined her on the live for a short while wishing her a speedy recovery. He also called her the ‘next Mumtaz’ and how everyone is appreciating her work in the film.

Shehnaaz informed her followers that she had consumed a sandwich outside and which led to her developing an infection. It’s been a couple of days that she’s in the hospital and said that she’s on her way to recovery. “Guys, I’m fine now. Mai theek nhi thi. Mujhey infection hogaya tha. Maine na sandwich kha liya tha. Infection hui hai mujhe food infection (I am fine now. I wasn’t well. I had a sandwich, wasn’t well. I have a food infection),” she said on the live, adding that she was wearing designer clothes a few days back and is now in hospital uniform.

Rhea Kapoor called her ‘crazy’ to go live from the hospital. The actor said that she didn’t want to do it alone but now that her ‘cool producer’ is around, she could, and also avoid getting any sympathy. Shehnaaz laughed that it was bad timing as she fell ill just around her film’s release, “Dekho time sabka aata hai, sabka jaata hai. Mere saath bhi wahi hua hai. Fir aayega thode din baad (Everyone’s time comes and goes and this has happened in my case as well. It will come again).”

Shehnaaz Gill promised to come and visit theatres once she’s fine and asked everyone to send their feedback on the film. As fans from Pakistan and Bangladesh sent her wishes, she took a jibe at her producer for not releasing their film in these countries, “Pehle film toh lage udhar. Main kaise bolu jaa ke dekhe. Kahan dekhenge (How do I tell them to watch the film?).”

Thank You for Coming stars Bhumi Pednekar, Kusha Kapila, Shibani Bedi and Dolly Singh. The film is about a 30 year old woman Kanika, played by Pednekar, and her quest for real love and orgasm.
