Shakti Kapoor was a contestant on Bigg Boss Season 5.

Shakti Kapoor has always been the man who likes to have a good time but his daughter Shraddha Kapoor once pushed her father to abstain from alcohol, and thus Shakti landed at Bigg Boss in 2011. Shakti was one of the contestants on Bigg Boss Season 5 and shared on the show’s premiere that Shraddha encouraged him to be a part of the show.

Shakti was the fifth contestant to get evicted on the show after being on it for 28 days. Shortly after he got out of the show, Shakti said that Shraddha was proud of him for staying away from alcohol for one month, his time on the show. He told Rediff.com that he did not participate to win, but to prove to his children that he could leave alcohol for a month.

“I was not there to win but to prove to my children that I can stay away from alcohol for a month. I am proud that I could prove that. Also, they were happy that there were no fights in the house when I was the captain. Now my daughter Shraddha says that she wants to be born as my daughter even in her next life,” he said.

At the time, he said that his wife Shivangi was proud of his conduct on the show. “My wife is also proud of me and the way I have conducted myself on the show. She said that she loves me more than she ever loved me. So I told her that I will take her for another honeymoon,” he said in the same interview.

Shakti Kapoor has not appeared in many films in the last few years. He was a part of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal in 2023, which starred Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.
