Actor Shahid Kapoor graced the latest edition of SCREEN Live in Mumbai on Friday. At the event, Shahid went down memory lane and recalled hosting SCREEN Awards, alongside superstar Shah Rukh Khan. During the SCREEN Archive round, Shahid was shown a photo of himself alongside SRK and Hema Malini at SCREEN Awards. Reacting to the picture, the Deva actor said, “It was a lot of fun. I was also very nervous because I think I was hosting with Shah Rukh sir for the first or second time. I was very comfortable dancing on the stage, but I was not very comfortable hosting. So, he made me feel extremely comfortable. I was standing in front of two legends thinking ‘I have made it.’ I was so happy standing in front of two legends – Hema (Malini) ji on one side and Shah Rukh sir on the other.” Also Read | Shahid Kapoor says it is impossible to make a politically charged film like Haider today: ‘We can’t do controversial films anymore’ The actor added, “I have some really fun memories. There was a lot to learn. I think Shah Rukh sir is one of the best hosts, apart from being a superstar. SCREEN used to be the first award of the year. I precisely remember that the SCREEN Awards used to happen between January 1st and 10th. The weather also used to be great and we used to have a really good time. So, it’s a lovely memory.” Also Read | Shahid Kapoor says Jab We Met’s Aditya must be frustrated with Geet by now: ‘Who can ever put up with her?’ On the work front, Shahid Kapoor's film Deva is scheduled to hit theatres on January 31.
