Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan leaked online within six hours of release
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan fell prey to piracy as it was leaked online within a few hours of its theatrical release.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan arrived in the theatres on Thursday, creating a frenzy among his zillion fans across the country. The Atlee directorial is receiving a positive response from film critics and audiences. However, the film fell prey to piracy as it was leaked online within a few hours of its theatrical release.
As per a ETimes report, the film’s camera print was leaked online. Piracy websites like Tamilrockers, Telegram and Movierulz leaked the HD version of the film within six hours of its first show in the cinema halls. However, the film’s box office collection is unlikely to take a hit due to the leak on piracy websites.
The film had already sold over 7.5 lakh tickets on day one even before release. There are chances of the film’s worldwide box office collection touching the Rs 100 crore mark on its opening day itself. Given the humongous craze around the film, fans are likely to throng the theatres in the coming days to watch their favourite star on the 70 mm screen.
Until 12 pm on Thursday, which also marks the Janmashtami holiday in some parts of the country, the film has earned Rs 19.35 crore at the national chains. Film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh shared on X, “#Jawan *Day 1* at national chains… Nett BOC… Update: 12 noon… ⭐️ #PVRInox: 15.60 cr ⭐️ #Cinepolis: 3.75 cr ⭐️ Total: ₹ 19.35 cr Day 1 total… ⭐️ #Pathaan: 27.02 cr ⭐️ #KGF2 #Hindi: 22.15 cr ⭐️ #War: 19.67 cr.”
The Indian Express’ film critic Shubhra Gupta found Jawan to be a ‘massy entertainer’. She gave the film a 3.5 star rating and wrote in her review, “The movie is a an unabashed massy entertainer with strong political messaging, making it a film which is very much of the moment.”
Besides Shah Rukh Khan, Jawan is backed by an ensemble cast including actors Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, and Deepika Padukone.
