When Shah Rukh Khan wrapped up the shoot early so Shreyas Talpade could spend time with his wife: ‘That’s the way he is, a family guy’

He recalled, “Shah (Rukh Khan) was again late. He came at around 8:30 and main tension mein, Farah tension mein (Farah was worried, I was worried). He came and Farah said, ‘Shreyas has to leave. You are always late. I have to shoot the whole scene. How will we do it now?’ He said ‘Don’t worry, we will do it’. He didn’t go to his make up room. We shot the whole thing, the entire scene and we finished at around 1:30 am.”

After they were done shooting, Shah Rukh Khan asked Shreyas Talpade what he was going to do next. The Iqbal actor said that since he was done, he would be leaving for the airport. “He said, ‘No, the reason we finished early is because then you can spend some time with your family.’ He asked if my wife Deepti was around. She had come to drop me to the airport so she was on the set. He said, ‘Take Deepti somewhere, to Hyatt or ITC, just spend some time with her. That’s what I do. Gauri and the kids come with me. We spend some time, then they go home and I go…'”

Shreyas said that he then spent some time with his wife. She later dropped him to the airport. The actor said, “That’s the way he is. He is a very very family guy. He wants all his people to be with him together all the time.”
