‘Shah Rukh Khan vents out his anger at me when KKR is not performing well, not good to watch a match with him’, says Juhi Chawla
Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla share a close bond and were once Bollywood's most beloved on-screen couple. Their team, Kolkata Knight Riders, has been a part of the IPL since its first edition.

Yet another edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is currently underway and fans across the world are following each and every development and match with much enthusiasm. While the matches are thrilling and entertaining, they also bring about tension among spectators as they passionately support their teams. If fans feel this pressure, one can only imagine the level of stress experienced by team owners. Just look at Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla, who co-own the Kolkata Knight Riders team with Juhi’s husband, entrepreneur Jay Mehta.
Juhi recently mentioned that she and Shah Rukh are not the best people to watch an IPL match with, as they become superbly tense when their team is playing. “IPL is always exciting. We all are in front of our television sets. When our team plays, it is interesting to watch them and we all are highly tense,” Juhi Chawla said during Routes 2 Roots event in Mumbai, news agency IANS reported.
She further mentioned, “It is not good to watch a match with him (Shah Rukh Khan) because when our team is not performing well, he vents out his anger at me. I tell him to tell that to the team and not me. So we are not the best people to watch the match with. I think the same goes for a lot of owners. They all can be seen sweating while their teams play.”
Shah Rukh and Juhi share a close bond and were once Bollywood’s most beloved on-screen couple. Their team, Kolkata Knight Riders, has been a part of the Indian Premier League since its first edition in 2008. The Kolkata Knight Riders have emerged as IPL champions twice so far: in 2012 and 2014.
