Shah Rukh Khan stayed one hour for my shot, refused to take break, recalls Puneet Issar: ‘If Puneet can stay for my shot, why can’t I?’

Every actor who has worked with Shah Rukh Khan has a story to tell. Actor Puneet Issar, who worked with the actor in the 1995 film Ram Jaane too had an experience to share. In a recent interview, Puneet recalled an incident that showed the actor’s greatness.
The theater artist, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, shared, “I remember we were shooting for a film Ram Jaane in Kamalistan. There was an over the shoulder angle shoot where the camera was favouring Shah Rukh Khan and I had to be there to give him cues. The shot took about three hours. Now, it was time for them to shoot my part, where the camera would favour me. The light man said it will take him about an hour or so to set up the light for my shot. It was a break. I sat on the set.”
He added, “When Shah Rukh saw me sitting there, he too came and sat. The assistant director told Shah Rukh, ‘Sir, it is your break. Your body double can give cues to Puneet.’ Shah Rukh quickly replied, ‘When Puneet gave me cues, why can’t I give it to him? ‘That’s the greatness of Shah Rukh.”
Previously, many of Shah Rukh’s co-stars have shared similar stories where the actor has won them over with his kindness.
