Shah Rukh Khan not approached for Dhoom 4: Sources

Recently, there were reports suggesting that Shah Rukh Khan and Ram Charan will star in Dhoom 4.

Recently reports suggested Shah Rukh Khan has been approached to lead Dhoom 4, the fourth installment of the hit action-packed Dhoom franchise of Yash Raj Films. However, according to sources, the news is “unfounded”.

For a few years now, there have been rumours of Dhoom 4 going on floors. But there have been no solid updates on the much-anticipated project. The latest update is that while the work on the film is underway, the star cast of the movie is not locked and the news of the Dunki star headlining the film is untrue.

A source tells indianexpress.com, “The news of Shah Rukh Khan starring in Dhoom 4 is unfounded. Nothing is locked yet.”

Earlier today, news of Shah Rukh Khan and Ram Charan being roped in for Dhoom 4 surfaced on the internet but it seems like it’ll be a long wait before we get any substantial details about the film’s cast.

Dhoom is one of the most successful film franchises of YRF. It began in 2004 with Dhoom, starring John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in the lead roles. It was followed by the 2006 movie Dhoom 2 that had Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan besides Abhishek, who has been a constant in the franchise. The third part was released in 2013. It featured Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif in principal roles.
