Shah Rukh Khan lauds PM Modi for inaugurating Vantara.A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Vantara, animal rescue and rehabilitation centre owned and managed by Anant Ambani, Shah Rukh Khan sent a shoutout to the efforts taken by Anant in the direction of animal welfare. The actor resposted PM Modi’s tweet about rescue elephants at Vantara and lauded Anant’s initiative.
PM Modi inaugurates Vantara
On Tuesday, PM Modi inaugurated Vantara, situated within the Reliance Jamnagar Refinery Complex in Gujarat. He shared a couple of pictures with two elephants from the rescue centre and wrote on X, “At Vantara, I saw an elephant which was the victim of an acid attack. The elephant was being treated with utmost care. There were other elephants too, which were blinded and that too ironically by their Mahout. Another elephant was hit by a speeding truck. This underscores an important question – how can people be so careless and cruel? Let us put an end to such irresponsibility and focus on kindness towards animals.”
Animals deserve love, and they need protection and care… for their health & that of our planet.
PM @narendramodi’s presence at Vantara reinforces the importance of this.

Shah Rukh reposted the tweet on Wednesday, adding his own two cents. “Animals deserve love, and they need protection and care… for their health & our planet. PM @narendramodi’s presence at Vantara reinforces the importance of this. The purity of a person’s heart is directly proportional to their love for animals. Vantara and Anant’s commitment of providing a sanctuary to unfortunate animals is a testament to that. Keep it up Beta (son),” Shah Rukh wrote in the caption.
Shah Rukh famously visited Vantara exactly a year ago, to attend the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. He was seen dancing on the stage with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. Later, he also grooved to his popular track Chammak Challo from his 2011 superhero film Ra.One. American singer Akon performed the song live, with Shah Rukh, his wife Gauri Khan, and their daughter Suhana Khan by his side on the stage. Shah Rukh also attended Anant and Radhika’s wedding later in the year in Mumbai.
