Shah Rukh Khan acquires rights of his film ‘Chahat’ from Mahesh Bhatt

Shah Rukh Khan had been requesting Mahesh Bhatt for the rights of the film for the past 10 years.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been toying with the idea of buying the rights of his old films.

The actor who started his career in television is also planning to acquire the rights of his old shows – ‘Circius’ and ‘Fauji’.

However,for now,Shah Rukh Khan has signed a deal with Mahesh Bhatt for his film Chahat.

The film,which released in 1996,starred Pooja Bhatt,Naseeruddin Shah,Pooja Bhatt and Ramya in prominent roles and was produced by Mahesh Bhatt.

Mahesh Bhatt recently revealed that Shah Rukh Khan has been requesting him for the rights of the film for the past 10 years and it was only recently that they signed a deal after Shah Rukh Khan paid a whopping amount to the filmmaker.

Shah Rukh recently turned a producer after which almost all his films are being produced under his banner.
