Shaan says he tried anti-ageing and anti-wrinkle creams, shares they didn’t work for him: ‘I look at my old pictures…’

Shaan mentioned that whenever he hears discussions about him aging in reverse, he often finds himself revisiting his old photographs.

Singer Shaan, who made his singing debut in the 1990s, recently opened up about how people often question him about looking younger and ageing backwards. He admitted that he can see changes in his appearance over the years and shared a funny incident when he tried anti-ageing creams that didn’t work as expected.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the 50-year-old singer was asked about his reaction to people talking about his age. Shaan said, “When I hear things like this, I look at my old pictures and I think ‘No, of course there is a difference.’ But when people say that, it works like a ‘age reducer.’ There are creams for that, but they don’t work. I had started using the anti-ageing, anti-wrinkle creams a while ago and it doesn’t do much. In fact, I have oily skin and it gives me acne.”

Shaan recently returned to hosting after a gap of 14 years. He hosted the show Mika Di Vohti, which was a reality show in which singer Mika Singh found a life partner. On the show, Shaan had opened up about feeling young and its importance. He said, “Look at Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, of course it didn’t work out for them… But you know, look at Malaika and Arjun, today age is not an issue anymore. It’s not because you can stay fit and look and be fit, but because you can feel young. And feeling young is very important.”

The Tanha Dil singer also opened up about singers recreating songs and said that earlier people used to recreate songs for the melody. He said, “The most important thing is they chose songs for the melody of that song. Now, I see a lot of songs that are being recreated which shouldn’t have been created to start with.”

Shaan recently released his song ‘Pal Pal’.
