Sanya Malhotra reveals what’s common between Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, shares the advice SRK gave her on Jawan set: ‘Dil ki suno’

When speaking about working with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan, Sanya Malhotra called him an “institution” and said that he was great at giving advice. “On set, sometimes I used to ask him some questions. At one point, he could sense that I am an overthinker so he told me, ‘Dil ki suna karo, zyada mat socha karo (listen to your heart, don’t overthink so much).’ So that kind of stayed with me and helped me to be in that moment,” she said. The Badhaai Ho actor added that this was a “major lesson” for her “to be easygoing and to not overthink about things. I am slowly learning.”

Sanya also spoke about dancing to “Zinda Banda” and said that she was beside herself when she learnt that she would be standing next to SRK in the song. The actor said that she couldn’t wait to come back and call her mother and tell her all about it.

Sanya plays Dr Eeram in Jawan who is wrongly implicated in the deaths of many children in a government-run hospital. She later becomes a part of Azad’s vigilante group.
