Sam Bahadur box office collection Day 5: The Vicky Kaushal film is able to hold its ground as its Tuesday collection is at par with its Monday collection.

Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur may have impressed movie critics but it is not able to pull people to cinema halls in the same numbers as Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, which was released on the same day. But, the film is able to hold its ground as its Tuesday collection is at par with its Monday collection.
Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur box office collection day 5 stood at Rs 3.50 crore (early estimates) with an estimated 21.86% Hindi occupancy, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. With this, the film’s total collection in India came to Rs 32.55 crore. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film is “performing best at select metros.”

The Meghana Gulzar helmed biopic of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw began its run in the theaters on December 1 with an earning of Rs 6.25 crore. The number grew by 44% on Saturday and came to Rs 9 crore. Sunday got even better as the film raked in Rs 10.3 crore. However, the film couldn’t pass the crucial first Monday test and witnessed a steep 66.02% fall as it earned Rs 3.50 crore.
The film’s collection is definitely better than Vicky Kaushal’s previous release, The Great Indian Family which ended its run in the theatres with around Rs 5.65 crore, and is in the same range as the actor’s previous hit Zara Hatke Zara Bachke which earned Rs 88 crore during its lifetime.
In comparison, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal continues to get a steady footfall in the cinema halls. The film has crossed the Rs 250 crore mark in India and the Rs 450 crore mark globally.
