Salman Khan struggles with sleepless nights after Baba Siddique’s murder; Zeeshan Siddique says ‘Bhai’ calls him every night
Intensifying Salman Khan’s grief is the fact that Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has claimed responsibility for Baba Siddique’s murder, stating that they targeted him due to his with the Bollywood star.

A fortnight has passed since Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Maharashtra state minister Baba Siddique was assassinated, but his family, including his son Zeeshan Siddique, is still grappling with the shock and struggling to move forward with their lives. Another person deeply affected by Siddique’s death is Bollywood icon Salman Khan, who shared a close bond with the politician. Intensifying Salman’s grief is the fact that notorious criminal Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has claimed responsibility for the murder, stating that they targeted Siddique due to his connection with the Bollywood star.
Recently, Zeeshan himself opened up about how deeply the killing of his father has affected Salman, adding that the Bollywood superstar has been nothing short of a ‘Bhaijaan’ to their family since October 12 — the tragic day Siddique was shot dead by three assailants in Bandra East.

“Salman bhai has been very upset after the incident. Pitaji (dad) and Salman bhai were close like real brothers. After dad’s death, bhai has supported us a lot. He always checks in on me and at night, talks to me about being unable to sleep. His support is always there and will continue the same,” he said during a chat with BBC Hindi.
Siddique’s murder occurred six months after Bishnoi gang members fired shots at Salman’s home in Mumbai. Known for hosting extravagant iftar parties that made him a favourite among Bollywood celebrities, Siddique famously mediated the reconciliation between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in 2013, paving the way for their famous hug at his iftar party held at a five-star hotel in Mumbai.
