Saif Ali Khan reveals Taimur thinks it is a ‘nightmare’ to perform in front of people: ‘They all want to be the number 1 movie star in India’
In the latest season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Saif Ali Khan discusses all their kids wanting to be the number one star in India, but son Taimur is wary.

The latest season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives gave a sneak peek into a lot of aspects of the lives of Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Seema Sajdeh, and Neelam Kothari. With all of them being associated with film families, in some way or the other and their kids trying their luck in the acting industry, in one of the episodes, they can be seen discussing their kids with Saif Ali Khan. The Omkara star also shares what his son Taimur thinks about making a career as an actor.
In the final episode of the third season of the Netflix series, Saif can be seen having a roundtable discussion with the seven ladies, including the new additions from Delhi: Shalini Passi, Kalyani Chawla, and Riddhima Kapoor. Talking to them, Saif says, “With all our children, there’s a lot of interest in doing movies. It seems to be the only interest. None of them want to be character actors. They all want to be the number one movie star in India. That’s high pressure.”
Seema Sajdeh, the ex-wife of actor Sohail Khan, adds, “Everybody wants to be number one. And everyone cannot be number one.”
Acknowledging Ananya’s success in the film industry, Saif points out to Bhavana Panday and says, “You already, touch wood, have a wonderful, successful…” Bhavana interrupts the actor as she adds, “But Sara and Ananya are very good friends”.
“And contemporaries”, says Saif Ali Khan.
Ranbir Kapoor’s sister Riddhima too joins the conversation and reveals her daughter Samaira is extremely interested in becoming an actress. She says, “Sam, 110% is joining the movies. Eventually, everyone will end up joining the film industry. Its in their blood.”
Taking the conversation further, Saif Ali Khan reveals, “But my son, Taimur, he is seven, he said, ‘The idea of standing up in front of 50,000 people and saying something is just a nightmare.” “Oh did he say that?”, asks Seema. Saif replies, “Yeah, he said, ‘I don’t. I absolutely don’t want to do it.”
Talking to camera, Maheep added, “He (Taimur) is a gorgeous child. He’s got a very strong personality. He’s very reactive to the paps. So, people are obsessed with him.”
Previously, talking to India Today, Saif Ali Khan said, “Two of the elder kids are already actors, or want to be… Tim, at one point, said that he can’t bear the thought of getting up in front of people and saying lines, I would be petrified! I said that I completely understand. But now he tells me he’s looking forward to his school play. The youngest one is a born performer, if you ever see him, and I know where that comes from. So, there’s no pressure. It’s a great job. But, for me, they could be school teachers… As long as you’re happy.”
