RRR fans from Japan take their love for film to the next level, recreate iconic scenes at shoot locations in India: ‘OMG!! Unmatched devotion’
RRR fans from Japan visited Maharashtra’s Mahabaleshwar, where the iconic “Dosti” song was filmed.

SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster RRR continues to captivate fans worldwide, with British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran recently hailing it as “mental” and “incredible.” His appreciation for the film underscores RRR’s universal appeal, transcending language and cultural barriers. Two years after its release, two Japanese fans took their love for the epic saga to another level by travelling to India and meticulously recreating scenes at the original shooting location in Maharashtra’s Mahabaleshwar.

Sharing their experiences on their X handle, the fans portrayed themselves as Ramaraju (played by Ram Charan) and Bheem (played by Jr. NTR), striking poses amidst picturesque mountains and comically mimicking a bike-and-horse chase scene in a video. Their Japanese captions conveyed their delight in reliving the landscapes depicted in the movie. “The moments with my brother are precious to me. This is the same view Ram and Bheem beheld!!?!!!!! Their devotion didn’t stop there. Driving for seven hours, they sought out the road featured in the song “Dosti”, where Rama and Akhtar run side by side. Their emotional reaction upon witnessing the scenery firsthand was shared online. “After a 7-hour drive each way, I arrived at the road where Rama and Akhtar ran together in ‘Dosti’! Overwhelmed with emotion to see the same scenery they did. (sic)”

Reacting to one of the posts, they exclaimed, “Were you both really there? #RRRMovie.” In response to another post, they commented, “OMG!! Unmatched devotion. Traveling all the way from Japan to India, locating the spots, and celebrating #RRRMovie like no other!! (sic)”

This love from the Japanese fans precedes a special screening of RRR in Japan on March 18, expected to be attended by director SS Rajamouli himself. The team of RRR, on their social media platforms, revealed that tickets for the special show sold out in less than a minute! Aptly captioning the excitement, they coined the term, “Absolute RRRAMPAGE!”

Alongside Jr NTR and Ram Charan, the film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris.
