On the occasion of the 395th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, makers of the upcoming historical film The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj have revealed the first poster of the film. Featuring Rishab Shetty as the legendary Maratha warrior in the lead role, his look has already gone viral on social media.

The film’s director and producer Sandeep Singh shared the film’s poster on his X handle, starring Rishab as the Maratha ruler. Along with the grand poster, he wrote, “Jai Bhavani! Jai Shivaji! Har Har Mahadev!! On the 395th birth anniversary of the greatest warrior king, #ThePrideOfBharat #ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj, we proudly present the first look, showcasing the strength and devotion of the legendary king who changed the destiny of the entire continent. It’s a supreme honor to bring his extraordinary saga of bravery, honor, and Swarajya to life with an exceptional team. Conquering cinemas worldwide on January 21, 2027!”

The poster shows Shetty showcasing power, devotion, and bravery as he is seen standing in front of a huge sculpture of a goddess. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on January 21, 2027 and will release in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Bengali. It was also recently announced that Pritam Chakraborty will compose music for the movie and Prasoon Joshi will work on the lyrics.

In a statement shared by the film’s team to ANI, Rishab Shetty talked about his feelings about essaying the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and said, “On the sacred birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, my heart swells with honor and responsibility. He was not just a warrior but the soul of Swarajya–a beacon of courage, wisdom, and devotion. To embody his spirit on screen is a divine calling, a journey that humbles me beyond words. I hope to do justice to his unparalleled legacy and make every Indian feel the fire of his undying valor.”
