Raveena Tandon slams airline crew for secretly taking a video of Shraddha Kapoor with boyfriend Rahul Mody, airline responds

Her comment sparked a mixed reaction from social media users. While many applauded her for standing up for the couple’s right to privacy, others felt she overreacted.

A few of her fans backed her stance, and wrote, “You are right!” “Absolutely agree with Raveena ma’am. You should learn to give privacy! They are not 24/7 stars… they are humans too and need their own time and space.”

However, other users backed the airline crew. A comment read, “Ma’am, the person in the video doesn’t seem to have a problem. Why do you?” Another comment read, “The video was taken in a flight, not in someone’s home. A flight is public transport. She’s a public figure—fans capturing such moments isn’t a crime. Cabin crew members are humans too.”

Akasa Air responded with a statement, “We are aware of an earlier video of one of our passengers that is being circulated on some social media channels. This was investigated at the time and appropriate action was taken in this matter. We were also in constant touch with the passengers regarding this incident. At Akasa Air, we hold passenger privacy in the highest regard and have a strict, comprehensive policy in place to safeguard it. While we provide regular training sessions on appropriate in-flight conduct, we have since taken steps to further sensitise our crew and reinforce our robust guidelines. The comfort, privacy, and well-being of our passengers remains our highest priority. We are committed to learning from every experience to strengthen the trust our passengers place in us.”

Meanwhile, Shraddha and Rahul’s relationship continues to quietly blossom. In a recently shared video, eagle eyed fans spotted Rahul in the background as Shraddha danced playfully. The couple was also seen together at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar last year.

In 2024, Shraddha Kapoor confirmed being in a relationship during an interview with Cosmopolitan. Speaking about her attachment style, the Stree 2 star said, “Maybe you will need my significant other in this conversation… Like, you’d have to ask him to be very honest. But I think I have a few Pisces traits—one wherein I definitely love the typical fairytale aspect of love, which is out of this world. You know, the kind where you’re like, as long as I have you, I don’t need anyone else.”

Talking about her relationship habits, Shraddha shared, “I really love spending time with my partner—watching a movie, going out for dinner, or travelling. I’m generally someone who enjoys doing things together… or even just being together without doing anything.”

Shraddha and Rahul were flying in Akasa Air when the video was shot. The actress is yet to react.
