Raveena Tandon reveals she refused selfie with strangers in London, scars of Mumbai’s road rage incident ‘traumatised’ her: ‘My intention wasn’t to offend’

Earlier in June, a man had claimed that Raveena Tandon's driver hit his mother, and the actor assaulted her in a drunken state. Mumbai police had denied the claims.

Actor Raveena Tandon has revealed that she recently refused getting pictures clicked with a few men in London, as she was suddenly triggered by the trauma of the road rage incidentin Mumbai. Raveena was accused of being drunk and it was claimed that her car collided with a person, both the claims which the Mumbai police said were false.

Raveena took to X and put up a long note, explaining how when she was in London a few days ago, “a few men approached” when she was walking. The actor said she had anyway not heard great things about the “crime situation” in the city and was naturally wary as a woman.

“I withdrew a bit when they asked if I was who I am, and my first instinct was to say no and walk away even faster as I was alone, they just wanted a picture I guess, and I most of the time oblige, but after the incident that happened in Bandra a few months ago, has left me a bit nervous and traumatised,” she wrote.

The actor continued that when she is with people, she feels better but gets “a bit nervous” when she is alone, which is what happened in London. Raveena reflected on the episode and said she should’ve “probably given them a photo” as maybe they were “innocent fans”, but she “panicked and walked away fast”.

“I just asked a security guy for help. I have felt really bad after this incident and would want to apologise to them through this medium if they are reading, that it was not my intention to offend. I’m really sorry. Hope I can meet you again and click a picture with you maybe. I try my best to be accessible and normal, but I fail at times. So sorry guys. I hope you are reading this and know that I shouldn’t have panicked,” she added.

Earlier in June, a man had claimed that Raveena Tandon’s driver hit his mother and the actor assaulted her in a drunken state. According to police, CCTV footage from the vicinity of the Khar-based building, where the incident occurred, showed that women were in close proximity to the actor’s car but were not struck by it.
