Ranbir Kapoor is a curious human being, says Animal co-star Saurabh Sachdeva: ‘He wants to know everything about you’
In a recent podcast, Saurabh Sachdeva opened up about his experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. The actor also spoke about mentoring Raghav Juyal.

Actor Saurabh Sachdeva, who runs the acting school The Actor’s Truth, has trained several successful actors, including Anushka Sharma, Varun Dhawan, Rana Daggubati, Richa Chadha, Triptii Dimri, Dulquer Salmaan and John Abraham. In a recent podcast, Saurabh opened up about his experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor in Animal. The actor also spoke about mentoring Raghav Juyal, who came from a hosting background.
In a conversation with Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa on their You tube podcast, Saurabh was asked about working with Ranbir in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. “It was very amazing. He is a curious human being. He wants to know everything about you. He just sits on the side and starts talking. He spoke to me a lot about my technique and I told him about my mask work. He said that he also wanted to do it. I told him that we will do. It was fun. Curiosity is the best friend of an artiste,” he revealed.
During the conversation, Saurabh Sachdeva also talked about mentoring Raghav Juyal. The actor said, “When Raghav came after a hosting and dancing background, his interest was always stealing something from someone and giving it to them. He always had to joke about the audience, himself, or the situation. He had to joke on either of these things, in a way, then only people enjoy it.”
He added, “But now, he doesn’t have to joke. He has to connect with the other person and accept him. And then, he cannot turn it into a joke. He has to take the scene forward, building on the same emotion. I told this to him strongly that it’s your impulse, you have learned that, will you leave it? I am not saying that he is wrong, he can do that on stage and the audience might enjoy it. But, if he is doing a film, then that won’t entertain. He will always be focused on how he can pick the scene up. He doesn’t have to pick it, just be in that scene.”
Saurabh revealed that Raghav “struggled a lot and took several courses to understand” this aspect of acting. “It was very difficult for him to change that in the beginning. He struggled a lot and did many courses to understand this. He actually cut that. There’s a huge difference between today’s Raghav and how he was earlier.”
On the work front, Saurabh Sachdeva will be seen next in the Tiger Shroff-starrer Baaghi 4.
