Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor's film was officially launched with a mahurat puja in Hyderabad.

Telugu star Ram Charan’s maiden collaboration with actor Janhvi Kapoor, tentatively titled RC16, went on floors on Wednesday, with a mahurat puja. It was also attended by Ram Charan’s father, actor Chiranjeevi, and his wife, Upasana Konidela.

Janhvi was dressed in a beautiful green silk saree, whereas Ram wore beige trousers and a cream shirt. Music composer AR Rahman, who has been roped in for the film, was also present at the launch ceremony.

RC16 is being directed by Buchi Bachu Sana, of 2021 Telugu film Uppena fame. The movie is produced by Mythri Makers and is said to be pan-India production.

Janhvi has secured some important projects in the Telugu and Tamil film industries. While she has RC16, she also had Devara Part 1 with NTR Jr, which will release this year. Earlier Janhvi’s father Boney Kapoor had spoken about her working with the RRR actors.

In an interview with iDream Media, Boney said, “My daughter has already shot for a film with Jr NTR. She’s loving every bit of the day she spends on sets here. Soon, she will start a film with Ram Charan too. These two boys are doing very well. She has been watching a lot of Telugu films, and she feels blessed to work with them. Hopefully, the films will work, and she will get more work. She will also act with Suriya soon. My wife (Sridevi) acted in multiple languages, I hope my daughter does the same.”

Details of Janhvi’s film with Suriya have not been revealed yet. In Bollywood, Janhvi has Mr & Mrs Mahi and Ulajh. Meanwhile Ram Charan will first be seen in Shankar’s Game Changer, alongside Kiara Advani
