Rakesh Roshan recalls being ‘furious’ when a drunk man abused him and Jeetendra in a restaurant: ‘Jeetu said keep quiet, we’re soft targets’
Rakesh Roshan shared an incident where a drunk man hurled abuses at him and Jeetendra.

Being famous has many advantages but with those, come the many disadvantages as well. In a recent chat, actor-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan recalled an incident where he became a soft target because of his fame. Rakesh shared that the incident made him “furious” but veteran actor Jeetendra, who was accompanying him during the encounter, asked him to keep his head down and leave.
Speaking to Fever FM, Rakesh recalled the incident when a drunk man abused him and Jeetendra in a restaurant. Hesaid, “Once Jeetendra and I were sitting at a restaurant. There was a drunk man sitting right in front of us. For some reason, he began to abuse us, taking our names. I was furious looking at this. I said Jeetendra, ‘Jeetu, I think we should speak to him.’ Jeetu said, ‘Let’s go. Let’s keep quiet. We don’t know him, he knows us. So we are soft targets. So, we walked away from there. That was the lesson I learnt from him.”
Rakesh Roshan was recently seen in the documentary The Roshans. The documentary streaming on Netflix is a four-episode series that talks about the legacy of his family, starting from his father, music composer Roshan. It also has special episodes on his brother Rajesh Roshan and son Hrithik Roshan.
In the documentary, Rakesh shared with utmost honesty that his acting career did not give him the desired results, and thus he changed gears and moved towards making films. His career as a director was far more fruitful than an actor, and he successfully launched his son Hrithik in his debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. His last directorial was Krrish 3 in 2013. While he has spoken about making Krrish 4, there have been no official announcements about it yet.
