Rajveer Deol says he would feel ‘bad’ for villains in Sunny Deol movies: ‘Used to see Dad get angry in films and knew what was coming’
Rajveer Deol said he would be 'scared' of his father Sunny Deol's on-screen persona and almost always felt sorry for the villains.

Only Sunny Deol can generate sympathy for villains. Actor Rajveer Deol says growing up watching his father’s action films, his heart would always go out to the villains as he knew the veteran actor would beat them black and blue.
Sunny, who headlined several action films throughout the 90s, acts from a space of “honesty”, his son Rajveer Deol said, which sets him apart from all his contemporaries.
In an interview with The Lallantop, when asked about Sunny Deol’s films, Rajveer Deol said he would always be “scared” of his father’s on-screen persona and almost always felt bad for the villains.
“There’s a specialty with Dad that I don’t think anyone else can do. There’s honesty in his bones and blood. When he screams at someone and wants to get revenge, you feel it. You want to do it yourself. I used to feel bad for all the villains. I used to see dad get angry (in films) and would know what is to come. I would be like, ‘Oh poor guys, don’t do this!’ I was very scared of that,” he said.
On the work front, Rajveer Deol is currently seen in Dono. The film marks the debut of Rajveer, son of actor Sunny Deol and Pooja Deol, and Paloma Dhillon, daughter of actor Poonam Dhillon and producer Ashok Thakeria.
The romantic comedy drama, which released on Friday, also marks the directorial debut of filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s son Avnish Barjatya. He has previously worked as an assistant director on his father’s films like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Uunchai.
