Rajesh Khanna saw the best days of stardom in the late 1960s and early 1970s but when his career went downhill, Kaka, as he was fondly known, struggled to make peace with that loss. In a recent interview, his alleged girlfriend Anita Advani, who lived with him in his last years, shared that Rajesh was invited to participate in Bigg Boss but he refused. She shared that he contemplated a bit and wondered if he would become a “better person” if he participated in the show.

In a chat with the YouTube channel Reel Meets Real with Pooja Samant, Anita shared, “They were giving him a handsome amount for appearing on Bigg Boss. He once shared with me that if I go on Bigg Boss then I might become a better person. I was shocked when he said this. I told him it’s not worth your stature. You can’t go to a place like that. You have a different aura.”

Anita recalled telling him that people are expected to do household chores on Bigg Boss which shocked Rajesh even further as he wondered if they would make him do the dishes as well. “I told him that they make you perform household chores there, they will ask you to do the dishes. He wondered if they would ask him to do the dishes as well? I said, ‘no, they won’t ask you to do that’,” she recalled.
