Raid 2 box office collection day 8: Actor Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 has not only broken by its first iteration but is also outperforming almost all the previous releases in 2025. The film is on the cusp of joining Rs 100 crore club after just 8 days at the box office. Makers of the film released a statement which claimed that the film has already earned Rs 98.89 crore during its theatrical run in India. The cast of the film includes Ajay Devgn, Vaani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, Shruti Pandey and Riteish Deshmukh.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s India nett collection at the end of 8 days is Rs 96.72 crore, which is an impressive feat considering that some of the latest releases such as Kesari 2 and Ground Zero struggled to bring in big numbers to the cinema. While Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero is having a disastrous run at the box office, Kesari 2 is doing much better, even though it has only managed Rs 83 crore after 3 weeks.
The statement released by the makers of Raid 2 read, “Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 has had a stellar first week at the box office, raking in a fantastic Rs 98.89 crore! The film has maintained a strong grip at the ticket window, with audiences continuing to show up in large numbers. Even with limited theatre operations in certain regions, the film collected an impressive Rs 5.33 crores on Day 8 alone.”
While there is a gap between the numbers posted by the makers and the numbers reported by Sacnilk, the film’s performance at the box office is impressive by all accounts. While the film witnessed a concerning drop on its first Monday after its release, it achieved decent numbers through the week and will most likely cross the Rs 100 crore mark on Friday. Although its occupancy rates on day 8 were very poor, with Sacnilk reporting just 5% across all screens.
After a very strong start, it will be interesting to see where will Raid 2 rank at the end of its theatrical run, as it is still in its nascent stage even after posting huge numbers.
