Priyanka Chopra’s uncle and Mannara Chopra’s father, Raman Rai Handa, passes away at 72 in Delhi

Actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Mannara Chopra is mourning the loss of her father, Raman Rai Handa, who passed away on June 16 in Delhi at the age of 72. The news was confirmed by Mannara on Instagram, where she also shared details of the funeral arrangements. Handa, a practicing lawyer at the Delhi High Court, was the husband of Kamini Chopra, paternal aunt to Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. A source close to the family told Zoom that he had been unwell in recent days, though specific details about his condition remain undisclosed.

The family issued an official statement expressing their grief: “With profound grief and sorrow we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family.” The funeral is scheduled to be held in Mumbai on Tuesday, June 18, at 1:00 PM at the Crematorium Ground in Amboli, Andheri West. The notice lists family members in mourning, including Kamini, Mannara, Mitali, Aakash, Ankur, Akriti, and the extended Handa and Chopra families.

Mannara, born Barbie Handa, has previously spoken publicly about her close relationship with her cousin Priyanka Chopra. She could stay in the best of the places, do whatever she wants, and rule the world according to her terms.
