Priyanka Chopra recalls Pankaj Kapur’s advice before 7 Khoon Maaf: ‘Every answer that you need is in…’

Priyanka Chopra said, “I took my team to my house in Goa. We made a wall for Fashion, charting Meghana Mathur’s life from the start till the end. How she will look, how will her emotional changes look, how will her physical changes look.”

She added, “I think all I focused on was you know immersing myself into who this girl is. If you’re playing a character, if you ever think about acting or if you’re thinking about playing a character, what worked for me is getting to know your character like your best friend.” 

Priyanka Chopra then opened up about the time when she wanted to take an acting class before doing Vishal Bharadwaj’s 7 Khoon Maaf. The actor said that she attended Naseeruddin Shah’s class for about 10 days and then she went to Pankaj Kapur, because he was her neighbour at that time. “I said, ‘Can you please work with me on the script?’ He said, ‘What work do you need?’ I said, ‘Tell me what choices should I make. This is a very complex character.’ He said every answer that you need is in your script.”
