Priyanka Chopra’s production company moves to US, mom Madhu says ‘not making any films in India for now’
Priyanka Chopra's mother Madhu Chopra said that they have moved their production house to the US.

Priyanka Chopra’s production company Purple Pebble Pictures has moved its base from Mumbai to the US, shared her mother Dr Madhu Chopra in a recent interview. The company has previously supported many regional films in India, including National Award-winning films like Ventilator and Paani. Madhu shared this after she was asked about Priyanka’s next steps in India.
In a chat with Instant Bollywood, she said, “Purple Pebbles has moved to America so we are not making any films in India for now but God willing, Priyanka will come to India to make movies, so we will see then.” When asked about Priyanka’s future plans in the movies, Madhu said, “There are no plans as of now.”
Just a few days ago, Priyanka told Hindustan Times about wanting to return to Hindi cinema and said, “Not joking, I meet many filmmakers here, read scripts. I have actively been looking for something I want to do in Hindi. This year was really busy for me. But I have something up my sleeve, I will leave it at that.”
Recently, Madhu spoke to Something Bigger Show’s YouTube channel and said that PC started her production house so she could have a back up plan. “When she decided to work in the Hollywood, when she got that opportunity, I told her, ‘You are here at the peak of your career and you want to go to US and start struggling from bottom up so we should have something to fall back here. So don’t just abandon everything and go. If you will have something here, you will feel confident and won’t be worried’. That’s how we started Purple Pebble Productions. It was more like our plan B,” she said.
Talking about her production house, she said, “Our production house only makes regional films. She had the platform and voice, so she did it. She has decided to give opportunity to newcomers and all our films has a newcomer, be it a writer, director or actor. She had it hard, so she wants to give a platform to others.”
Priyanka has not appeared in any Hindi films since 2019’s The Sky Is Pink. She was announced as one of the stars of Jee Le Zaraa with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
