The actor received backlash as several people alleged that she hired fans to pose with her for photographs and autographs at an airport. Soon after the clip went viral, Hollywood actor Bella Thorne came out in Priyanka’s support, saying she doesn’t think the actor pulled off a PR stunt or staged the moment.

The throwback video of Priyanka Chopra exiting from an airport emerged on the internet. In the clip, the same two fans were seen coming after her twice within two minutes – initially at the airport entrance and then again in front of the paps, asking for her autograph. She was snapped agreeing to their request both times. The dual appearance in two different spots locations led to allegations that the moment was articulated by her PR team.

Hollywood star Bella Throne also came across one of such posts discussing the same on social media. The caption read, “The stunt looked highly staged”, raising questions about authenticity and drawing criticism online. Netizens called it a “fake PR move,” and slammed the unnecessary media manufactured fan moments that celebrities tend to adhere to.

Bella took to the comment section of the post and wrote, “No, I don’t think this is a PR stunt. They just follow you everywhere when you’re in the terminal they also sell those pages online. That’s why it’s on a blank piece of paper. They can actually take your signature and Photoshop over whatever they want and it would look like you have signed it. Either way I highly doubt she staged it. She’s just being nice and signing it again cuz they won’t leave her alone and are continuing to follow her through the terminal.”

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra is making a comeback to Indian cinema after years, with SS Rajamouli’s Telugu film Varanasi. It also features Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. The movie will hit the theatres on Sankranthi, 2027. The actor will also be seen in The Bluff. She is also working on the second season of the web show Citadel.
