She may be a diva, but Priyanka Chopra doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty for a good cause. The actress recently took on the task of cleaning up an entire slum area in Suburban Mumbai, Versova, as part of her contribution towards the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

The actress shared a video on Twitter featuring the clean-up, where she says that she was extremely excited to be nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“I had come here when I was shooting for ‘Agneepath’. We had put on a big set over there for the basti,” explains the actress in the video. “And I remember that there were people who live here, children who play on mounds of garbage and that is their life. And let’s be honest, we’re a cynical bunch of people. We always believe how are going to clean, what are we going to clean. The plan is not just to clean up this place, but to clean up and rehabilitate this place.”
