The senior-most of the lot, Priyamani, felt ‘protective’ towards all of her female co-stars, and took care to ensure that they didn’t leave set alone at odd hours.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Priyamani shared that she was particularly fond of Lehar Khan, as they used to travel together to work. But she made sure to take accompany her other co-stars when they had to leave set at 2 in the morning after pack-up. “I made sure that we go together because sometimes it used to get late, like 2 in the morning or 9 in the night or 6 in the morning. I didn’t want them to go alone. You cannot call it the maternal instinct. But I just felt protective of them. I said, ‘No, you girls are coming with me’,” recalled Priyamani.

The actor made sure to drop off the girls at a location which was well-lit and not deserted. She added, “When I got a chance, I used to drop Aaliyah and Sanjeeta halfway, at least where there were people. We were shooting at a deserted place, so I didn’t want them to be all alone.” She also made sure that Ashlesha Thakur, the actor who played her daughter in The Family Man, also reached home safely after finishing the shoot.
While Priyamani embraced this responsibility, their ‘chief’ Shah Rukh Khan ensured that all of them were comfortable during the shoot of the film. Lehar had earlier told indianexpress.com, “Jawan was a hectic film for him (SRK) as he played a double role and had to wear prosthetics, yet amid all the messy, chaotic environment, he was all out taking care of his girls, as he calls the six of us. He also has the warmest hugs to give. I think one is a fan of him as an actor and when they meet him, they become a fan of him as a person.”
Jawan is having a successful run at the box office. The film has already become the second-biggest release of all time after Pathaan (Rs 543.05 crore). The film’s total domestic collection after 13 days is Rs 526.73 crore.
