Priya Sachdev Kapur performs puja for ‘protection and peace’ amid legal battle with Karisma Kapoor’s kids, remembers Sunjay Kapur: ‘Carrying your legacy forward’

Sharing the pictures, Priya wrote, “Our prayer for protection, peace, and prosperity… moving forward, carrying your legacy with us.”

Just days earlier, on Sunjay’s birth anniversary, Priya had penned an emotional tribute to her late husband.

She wrote, “You lived these words without ever needing to speak them. You led with kindness, not command. You built with courage, not pride. You gave without expecting, because giving was your nature. I watched you move through storms with grace, carry burdens with calm, and turn every challenge into purpose. You never spoke of faith — you lived it. You believed in doing, not declaring.”

Priya has been in the headlines ever since the announcement of Sunjay’s will — which reportedly did not allocate any inheritance to his mother, sister, or his children from his previous marriage with Karisma Kapoor. Following this revelation, Karisma’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, along with Sunjay’s mother and sister, reportedly moved court to challenge the will’s authenticity. Their legal counsel even pointed out errors in the document, including an instance where the pronoun “her” was allegedly used to refer to Sunjay Kapur.

Sunjay Kapur was the chairman of Sona Comstar, a leading automotive component manufacturer with a market capitalisation of nearly Rs 30,000 crore. Of this, around 72% of the shares are publicly held, while the remaining 28% valued at approximately Rs 8,200 crore are owned by Aureus Investments Private Limited (AIPL), the company’s corporate promoter.
