Parineeti Chopra responds to Priyanka Chopra’s congratulatory post: ‘Bridesmaid’s duties coming up’

Parineeti asked Priyanka to be ready for bridesmaid’s duties.

For the engagement, Parineeti picked up an ivory with pearls and embroidery detailed salwar suit by Manish Malhotra. Raghav, on the other hand, wore a layered white sherwani, designed by his uncle Pawan Sachdeva. While sharing a photo of the couple, Malhotra wrote, “Congratulations @parineetichopra and @raghavchadha88 lots of love to you’ll on your engagement classic elegance and an evening of love and Parineeti my dear gorgeous in the custom made IvoryBlush pearl ensemble.”

Parineeti and Raghav, after exchanging rings, posted several pictures on Instagram to announce the news to the world. “Everything I prayed for .. She said yes!,” he wrote in the caption. A day later, they also thanked everyone for the love, as Parineeti shared a note, “Raghav and I are overwhelmed with the love and abundance of positivity we have received over the past few weeks, particularly on our engagement. We both come from different worlds, and it is amazing to know that our worlds also unite with our union. We have gained a bigger family than we could have ever imagined. We are so touched by everything we have read/seen and we cannot thank you all enough. We embark on this journey knowing that you all are standing with us. A special shout-out to our amazing friends in the media. Thank you for being there through the day and cheering for us.”

Photos and videos of the couple from the engagement soon dropped on social media, leaving fans gushing at their chemistry. A video showed Parineeti Chopra mouthing her song “Ve Maahi” from Kesari for her fiance as it was played at the function. She held him and animatedly gestured that she will follow him wherever he goes. Raghav lovingly kissed Parineeti’s cheek and hugged her back.

Parineeti and Raghav later also made an appearance for the media outside the venue to get clicked. The paps teased Raghav saying, ‘Rajneeti se Parineeti ho gaya’ leaving the newly-engaged couple blushing.

The couple sparked dating rumors after they were photographed outside a few restaurants in Mumbai a while ago. While they did not make any statements about their relationship, they were clicked in Mohali while attending an IPL match which confirmed the rumours about them. Parineeti and Raghav were both seen blushing, as they waved to their fans.
